MINDFULNESS

«Practicing mindfulness is a radical act of love to yourself – and to the living world all around you, within and beyond you.» -  Anya Guiry

Rumination, stress, anxiety, and other unhelpful patterns are familiar to many of us, in one form or another – and often we repeat them without even noticing. Mindfulness helps us slow down and build awareness, so we can begin to recognize these impulses and habits as they arise, along with the thoughts and bodily sensations that accompany them.

Only when we can see what’s happening can we choose a different response. That’s why practising mindfulness matters.  It help us step out of automatic reacting and move – gradually – toward more thoughtful, wise responses. Over time, we gain the opportunity to choose how we relate to ourselves and the world around us.

Ultimately, mindfulness helps us show up in this world the way we want to. The stakes couldn’t be higher—because nothing less than our lives, and the way we live them, depends on it.
